How can I calculate my volunteer hours?

Does UPchieve provide a letter or proof of volunteering?
Yes! Go to the Verify Your Hours page (https://upchieve.org/verify-volunteer-hours) and we will send you a signed document on UPchieve letterhead with your hours within 8 business days.
Does UPchieve award the President’s Volunteer Service Award?
Yes! We aim to make earning a PVSA as a volunteer tutor as easy as possible.
To obtain your PVSA please follow the below instructions:
Check out the minimum volunteer hour requirement by age group: https://upchieve.org/presidents-volunteer-service-award
Calculate how many hours you can count towards the PVSA.
We only count active tutoring hours, certification hours (1 hour per certification), and training hours (1 hour for UPchieve 101 training and 1 hour per monthly coach meeting attended) due to the award's national recognition.
Elapsed availability will not be counted for the PVSA.
Once you have completed the minimum number of hours, fill out this form to submit your request for an award.
12 months start from when you had your first session.
Processing these requests typically takes 6 to 8 weeks.
I believe my hours were logged incorrectly, who should I contact?
If you believe your hours were logged incorrectly, please refer to our Volunteer Hour Tracking Guide for clarification on how UPchieve calculates hours. This guide usually resolves any confusion. If you still believe there's an error, email support@upchieve.org with a screenshot of your Impact Summary Dashboard and the correct hours you believe should be displayed.

Can I get my school's volunteer form signed?
Yes, you can email the form to support@upchieve.org. The form will be signed within 8 business days. For faster processing, please fill out the form to the best of your ability with your full name, total hours, supervisor name, etc.
