Student Eligibility

Check if you're eligible for UPchieve

Who is eligible for UPchieve?

  • If you're 11 or older and attend an eligible middle or high school, or live in an eligible zip code, you can use UPchieve. Most public school students in the United States are eligible! Check your eligibility at https://app.upchieve.org/sign-up/student/eligibility

Do I need my parents or school’s permission before using UPchieve?

  • You don't need permission to use UPchieve! Parents, teachers, or schools can learn more on our website or by contacting support@upchieve.org.

I can't find my school in the drop-down list.

It says that I was ineligible. What does that mean?

  • UPchieve is designed for students whose families cannot afford a tutor. Currently, eligibility is determined by attending a Title I school or living in a low-income zip code. If you believe you qualify to use UPchieve, please fill out our request access form.

I'm an elementary student. Can I use UPchieve?

  • While we would love to assist you in achieving your academic goals, currently UPchieve can only support middle and high school students. We recommend checking Learn to Be https://www.learntobe.org/, a nonprofit that offers tutoring in all subjects to students of all grade levels in the U.S.

I'm a college student. Can I use UPchieve?

  • We know that college students need help too, but right now we can't do so. Please visit this page where you'll find helpful resources for college students.

I live outside of the U.S. Can I use UPchieve?

  • Unfortunately, students outside of the U.S. are not eligible for UPchieve. We recommend using resources such as School House https://schoolhouse.world/
