Add UPchieve to your allowlists for internet and email access

Add these domains to your firewall and content filter allowlists:

• *.upchieve.org (primary domain and all subdomains)

• app.upchieve.org (main application)

Ensure these domains can send emails to your district:

• noreply@upchieve.org (system notifications)

• *.upchieve.org (all UPchieve email communications)

Set up Single Sign-on (SSO) and Rostering

We offer SSO and rostering through Clever, ClassLink, and Google Workspace.

Clever

Your partnership manager may invite you to connect to UPchieve, or you may add UPchieve yourself

Data sharing

Make sure to share at least the following fields:

• name

• email

• sis_id

• school

• schools

• grade

UPchieve is a SSO, Rostering app. The steps for setting up rostering are the same as SSO.

ClassLink

Add UPchieve to the Launchpad.

UPchieve currently supports ClassLink SSO. Rostering with ClassLink is not currently supported.

Google Workspace

You can use Google for SSO. We do not have a rostering solution for Google Classroom or Google Workspace for Education. If your district restricts OAuth apps, be sure to allow UPchieve access to Google Workspace data for your users.

Rostering via CSV (template provided)

You may also roster via a CSV, which will generate passwords you may share with your students for Basic Authentication (username and password) sign-in.

Please provide your partnership manager a CSV with your student roster with the following fields:

• firstName - required

• lastName - required

• gradeLevel - required. Format as just the grade number, for e.g. 6 for 6th grade.

• email - required

• proxyEmail - optional, but required if students are NOT able to receive emails from us.

  • The owner of the proxy email address will only receive password-related emails, i.e. password reset, or the initial "Set Password" email (if no password is provided for students).

• password - optional, but required if students can't receive our emails and the proxyEmail is not willing to forward "Set Password" emails to students.

Please make sure the CSV file with the list of students has the proper fields, and the columns are labeled correctly.

UPchieve Chrome Extension

We recommend IT teams push our UPchieve chrome extension to their student Organizational Units which are using UPchieve to help students quickly and easily request tutoring or academic support while working on their assignments.

Follow these instructions to automatically install the UPchieve Chrome Extension and pin it to student’s browser taskbar.

The UPchieve chrome extension’s ID is bicpmpcnlaekojbbjoocjkhijpdgilhk if being installed via ID, and can be found in the chrome store here.
