Introducing Session Summaries!
Session Summaries give you a quick, AI-generated overview of what a student and tutor covered during their session on UPchieve.
The summaries pull from the session chat (including transcribed audio chat) and the document editor. (Note: Sessions using the whiteboard are not summarized at this time.)
This feature can help you:
Quickly assess if students are getting the right support
Monitor tutoring engagement and follow-up needs
Tailor additional support based on session content
Example:
A student requests Algebra help. Their Session Summary shows they reviewed factoring quadratics with their tutor — so you know they’re getting targeted help and can monitor their progress in class.
Who can see Session Summaries?
Summaries are visible only to teachers, through the Teacher Dashboard. Go to your class > select a student > view their sessions.
Will all sessions have a summary?
Going forward, yes! Every new session for students in a class will have a summary. We’ve also backfilled summaries for recent sessions.
How accurate are the summaries?
They’re very accurate based on our initial review. Still, since they’re AI-generated, we recommend using them as a high-level overview rather than a full transcript.
